The "Bar Raiser" Model
WHAT IT IS
A Bar Raiser is a trained interviewer from outside the hiring team who joins the loop to protect the hiring standard. Their job is not to fill the seat — it's to ask: does this person raise the average of the team they'll join?
WHY IT MATTERS
The person who needs the hire most has the strongest pull toward ‘good enough’. A neutral, trained voice keeps the bar from sliding one hire at a time.
